UIG is leading a consortium of global investors in developing a US$2.94B medical city, known as Beijing China-US International Medical Center ("BIMC") in Beijing, China.

Beijing China-US International Medical Center, Inc. (“BIMC”) is a corporation that provides healthcare services to both domestic and international communities in Beijing. The institution is a joint-venture in collaboration with Harvard Medical International, Inc., a Massachusetts non-profit subsidiary corporation of Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts (“HMI”), first-tier Chinese healthcare institutions, and domestic and foreign institutional investors.

HMI is collaborating with private healthcare providers to build medical and educational centers in each continental region around the world. At present, the Middle East center is in Dubai, and the Asia center will be in Beijing. The Middle East center is Dubai Healthcare City which is currently under construction. The objective is to create a world-class healthcare provider by establishing the most advanced medical center in Beijing, China. BIMC intends to deliver the highest quality, patient focused healthcare to both domestic and international communities in Beijing, conduct leading-edge biomedical and life science research, and offer first-class medical education to physicians, scientists, nurses, and allied health professionals.

The Municipal Government of Beijing considers BIMC as a critical project for the City of Beijing. Private hospital licenses are rarely granted, and BIMC is the first large branded private hospital in Beijing.
